A free outdoor yoga session focusing on alignment, flow, meditation and breathwork, concluding with harmonium and nature sounds.
Tiffany Sipos leads an alignment-based flow yoga class at the Moody Amphitheater on Monday, October 12, from 6 to 7 PM. It's part of a series of free outdoor yoga classes held every Monday at the amphitheater from September 14 through November 2, with the exception of October 19. The series is presented in partnership with Castle Hill Fitness.
Sipos describes the session as an alignment-based flow that concentrates on form before flowing. It begins and ends with short meditation and breathwork, and the final rest is accompanied by the sound of a harmonium and the surrounding nature. If you're more used to a fast-paced vinyasa, this one slows things down to get the posture right before moving through the sequence.
The venue is the Moody Amphitheater in Waterloo Park, one of Austin's most-used outdoor spaces. It hosts the park's signature fundraiser, Glow in the Park, as well as community events like the Día de los Muertos celebration and the Morning Glories childhood education series.
