Alan Haynes headlines the Durawa Band at De Nada Cantina on Tuesday, August 4. The night is hosted by Ernie Durawa, the Texas Tornado legend, who welcomes Haynes to take the lead for this edition of Durawa Tuesdays.
Haynes has been playing since the 1970s, and his sound is a soulful mix of Texas blues that pulls in jazz and country. B.B. King is one of his main influences, and that lineage runs through his work. In the late 1970s, he joined the Texas Boogie Band, which served as the house band at the Texas Opry Band. Later, he stepped out to lead his own group, Alan Haynes and the Stepchildren. In 1980, he was voted Best Blues Band by the Music City Austin music poll, and he eventually spent six years as the house band at Antone's, the city's most storied blues room.

It's an all-ages show, so you can bring the kids along. Mexican cuisine and margaritas are served in the showroom, and the music is the main event. Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the downbeat at 7 PM. Tickets are $20 at the door.
