Author Adam Cesare discusses his fourth 'Clown in a Cornfield' novel in conversation with Gabino Iglesias at BookPeople.
Adam Cesare is coming to BookPeople on Thursday, August 20, to talk about the fourth book in his Clown in a Cornfield series, Lights! Camera! Frendo!. The series has already picked up a Bram Stoker Award, and this new installment takes the character Frendo to Hollywood. Cesare is also the author of the graphic novel Dead Mall and the cult hit Video Night, and he spends a fair amount of time talking about movies on YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter, so the Hollywood setting fits right in with his other interests.
He won't be on his own for the evening. He'll be in conversation with Gabino Iglesias, an Austin-based writer, journalist, professor, and literary critic. Iglesias wrote the Shirley Jackson and Bram Stoker award-winning novel The Devil Takes You Home, as well as Zero Saints and Coyote Songs. He's a member of the Horror Writers Association, the Mystery Writers of America, and the National Book Critics Circle, so he knows his way around the genre.

The conversation is set for 6 PM on the second floor of BookPeople, 603 North Lamar Boulevard, and it should run about 45 to 60 minutes. Check-in starts at 5:30 PM. The event is free, but you do need to register via Eventbrite to get in. Your ticket includes a copy of the book signed and personalized by Cesare. Seating is first-come, first-served, and there won't be a live stream or recording, so if you want to be there, you'll have to show up in person.
