Weekend two of the Austin City Limits Music Festival with performances by Rüfüs Du Sol, Lorde, Kings of Leon and The XX.
Austin City Limits Music Festival is back at Zilker Park this fall, running over two weekends: October 2-4 and October 9-11. It's the same setup we've come to expect from ACL—over 100 performances spread across nine stages, with local food, drinks and sweets from Austin favorites tucked in between. The festival describes it as a 'once in a lifetime experience... two times a year.'
Weekend two kicks off on Friday, October 9, and the names listed for that run include Rüfüs Du Sol, Lorde, Kings of Leon, and The XX. It's a wide spread of sounds to cover in one go: the dance-floor focus of Rüfüs Du Sol, Lorde's pop, the rock of Kings of Leon, and the atmospheric lean of The XX. Just a heads-up, though—the full lineup hasn't been officially confirmed for this edition yet, so take these names as the current picture rather than a final set list.
If you're looking to step up from a general admission pass, there's a VIP option. It comes with complimentary drinks, an air-conditioned lounge to duck into when the Texas sun gets to be too much, and a dedicated VIP entrance to get you through the gates without the main line. Between the two weekends, that's six days of music to pick from, so you can do one weekend, the other, or both.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
