A self-guided, curated tour showcasing new builds and renovated homes by local architects, celebrating Austin's residential architecture.
The 40th Annual AIA Austin Homes Tour runs Saturday and Sunday, October 24-25, from 10 AM to 6 PM, with a curated selection of homes scattered in and around Austin. It's a self-guided tour, so you set your own pace and pick which ones to visit across the two days.
The tour features around nine homes—a mix of new builds and newly renovated properties—all designed by local architects. The lineup this year includes Davey McEathron Architecture, DK Studio, Murray Legge Architecture, Nolan+Bell Design Studio, Pollen Architecture, Restructure Studio, Webber + Studio, and Architects Workshop No. 5. Because it's self-guided, you can spend as much time as you want in the houses that catch your eye and skip the ones that don't, rather than following a set group on a schedule.
This is one of the city's premiere fall events, and it's recognized as a leading AIA Home Tour nationwide, drawing around 5,000 design enthusiasts every year. The AIA frames it as a celebration of Austin's residential architecture in a city it cites as one of the top U.S. cities for quality of living and housing market strength, with a population now exceeding 2 million. If you're interested in getting more involved, there's also a chance to volunteer as a Greeter at the featured homes.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
