Celebration of 16 de Septiembre with live music by Los Texas Wranglers and Ritmo ATX, food trucks, and family-friendly fun.
Ani's Day & Night is celebrating 16 de Septiembre on Wednesday, September 16, with a full evening of live music and food trucks. The main stage belongs to Los Texas Wranglers, who'll be joined by Ritmo ATX for a double bill that keeps the music going from start to finish.
If you're not already familiar, 16 de Septiembre is Mexico's Independence Day, and this is one of the ways the city marks it. The whole thing is built around the music, with Los Texas Wranglers and Ritmo ATX sharing the bill, and food trucks on site to keep you fed while the bands play. It's set up as a family-friendly affair, so it's as much a night to bring the kids along as it is to just show up with a few friends.

Things run from 5 PM to 9 PM at Ani's Day & Night, 7107 E Riverside Dr, in East Austin. The cover is $10, and kids and adults 80 and older get in free, which makes it an easy one to bring the whole family to without spending much on the door. Between the two bands and the food trucks, there's plenty to keep you occupied for the full four hours.
