This isn't a minor tour. It marks the group's official reunion after several years of solo projects and lines up with their twelfth anniversary and their first full-group album in more than three and a half years. Their previous project, the EP Mic On, gave them Illella, which topped iTunes Top Songs in ten regions. The U.S. run is a wide one, with stops at UBS Arena in New York, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, SAP Center in San Jose, and accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington.
If you're going to want more than a seat, there's a tiered set of VIP packages. The Ultimate MAMAMOO VIP Experience is the top end, with a front-row reserved seat, a send-off session, a 1:1 photo with the group, a preshow soundcheck party, a VIP merch pack, a signed commemorative laminate, early entry, and an on-site VIP host. Below that, the Send-Off + Group Photo Experience keeps the send-off, the soundcheck party, the group photo, the merch pack, and early merch access. The Soundcheck Experience covers the party, the merch pack, and early access, and the Merch Package is simply the VIP pack and early access. For those who want to skip the line and eat, the ALL IN Premium Loge Package, presented by Austin Telco Federal Credit Union, runs $175 per ticket with no extra fees and a six-ticket limit. It lands you a reserved East Loge seat in the 200 sections with wider leather seats, a general parking pass for two tickets, and an ALL IN wristband for a Chef's Table visit with Chicken Parmesan, Italian Meatballs, Herb Roasted Chicken, Sliced Steak, and Fajitas, plus two drinks at The Breakaway Bar or Love Street Lounge and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. Order online or call 512-600-5013 by 11:59 p.m. on August 18.
Logistics are worth a quick read before you head out. The H-E-B Center sits at 2100 Avenue of the Stars, also on the corner of 183A and New Hope Drive, with more than 2,600 parking spaces and Lots B, F, and G reserved for disabled parking. Day-of rates are $25 for the General Lot, $40 for Premium Lot B, $45 for the Premium Circle Lot, and $40 for buses. The venue is cashless, so bring a credit or debit card or Apple Pay, and there's no re-entry. Clear bags can be up to 16 by 8 by 16 inches, non-clear bags up to 5 by 9 by 2, with exceptions for diaper bags and medical bags. Drones, weapons, umbrellas over 12 inches, tents, airhorns, confetti, streamers, signs over 22 by 28 inches, and video recording devices like GoPros and professional cameras with long lenses are not allowed.
For context, MAMAMOO debuted under RBW on June 18, 2014, with the mini album Hello and the single Mr. Ambiguous, and has since put out three studio albums, twelve EPs, and dozens of singles. Their first Korean studio album, Melting, topped the Gaon Digital Chart in 2016, and their 2019 album Reality in Black hit number one on the Billboard World Digital Songs Sales chart. By early 2021, they had sold nearly 1.2 million albums worldwide.
