Pianist Zade Dirani performs a program of reimagined global favorites and original compositions with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Zade Dirani plays the Atlanta Symphony Hall on Monday, November 2, performing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. It's a piano-led program that mixes reimagined global favorites with his own original compositions, and the full orchestra backs him throughout the night.
Dirani is a Billboard-charting pianist and composer who has played at UNESCO headquarters, large arenas, and royal halls for world leaders, including the late Queen Elizabeth and Nelson Mandela. People Magazine called him a "Piano Prodigy," and his work tends to cross genres rather than stick to one. You can hear that in Princess of the Night, a collaboration with pianist Richard Clayderman, and in the album Un Piano Y Amigos, which features some of Spain's best-selling artists, like Ana Mena and India Martínez. He's also worked with London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The program for this evening pairs his piano with the full Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the setlist draws from a few different traditions. He'll be playing "Kalimat," "Hoy Tengo Ganas de Ti," "Je n'ai pas changé," and "You Raise Me Up," alongside his own original pieces.
