Yacht Rock Revue, the soft-rock party band, plays its 'Stop Making Sense' show at Zero Mile.
Yacht Rock Revue are playing Zero Mile on Saturday, February 27, 2027, and they're doing something a bit different for this one: they'll be performing Stop Making Sense.
If you're not familiar, Yacht Rock Revue is a soft-rock party band that's built its name on the smooth, polished sounds of the late '70s and early '80s. They're known for that specific brand of West Coast pop—the kind of music that feels like a sunny afternoon on a boat—and they've made a career out of bringing it to the stage. This show, though, takes them in a different direction. Stop Making Sense is the legendary live album and concert film by Talking Heads, and that's what they'll be working through here.
It's a bit of a crossover: a band that lives for soft-rock taking on the jittery, polyrhythmic energy of David Byrne and company. Talking Heads were never exactly 'smooth,' so seeing Yacht Rock Revue tackle that material is a fair bit of a departure from their usual wheelhouse. If you've seen them before, this is a different kind of night.

As for the venue, Zero Mile is the booking and operational arm behind three of the city's biggest music spots: Georgia Theatre, Variety Playhouse, and Terminal West. It was formed in 2016 by the operators of those three venues to handle booking, marketing, and operations across the board, drawing on the collective experience and resources of three of the most popular music venues in the Southeast. That means the show is coming from the same team that puts on a good deal of the live music you'll find around town.
So, mark your calendar for Saturday, February 27, 2027, at Zero Mile in Atlanta, where Yacht Rock Revue will be performing Stop Making Sense.
