Los Angeles rock band The Linda Lindas play Terminal West with opening acts Grace Bowers and Monsoon.
The Linda Lindas play Terminal West on Tuesday, October 20, with Grace Bowers and Monsoon opening. The Los Angeles rock band formed in 2018 and took their name from the Japanese film Linda Linda Linda; director Amy Poehler was among those who first noticed them. The lineup is Bela Salazar, Eloise Wong, and sisters Lucia and Mila de la Garza, all four of whom write and sing lead. Their sound mashes L.A. punk with post-punk, garage rock, power pop, new wave, and rock en español, drawing comparisons to the earliest Go-Gos and the Bangles.
They first went viral with their LA Public Library performance of "Racist, Sexist, Boy" and have since released three albums, including No Obligation, which they wrote and recorded during their school breaks. The band has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold on the tour goes to organizations working for equity, access, and dignity.
