A family-friendly fall festival featuring a trunk-or-treat event with over 20 local vendors and community activities at The Battery.
The Great Fall Festival takes over The Battery on Sunday, October 25, from 2 PM to 5 PM, with the main draw being a trunk-or-treat. If you've never done one, it's a family-friendly twist on trick-or-treating: local businesses, organizations, and community members park their cars in a row and decorate their trunks, handing out treats from the back. Kids go from car to car to collect their haul, and since everything stays in one spot, it's a lot easier to manage than walking the neighborhood.
There's more to it than just the candy, though. The trunk-or-treat is part of a larger fall festival, and the day brings together more than 20 local vendors and a range of family activities. It's the kind of afternoon where you can let the kids run through the treats while you browse the booths.
The festival is held at The Battery, a multi-phased, $2 billion mixed-use destination at the intersection of Perimeter Center Parkway and Hammond Drive, where Dunwoody meets Sandy Springs in Atlanta's Perimeter. At full build-out, the 36-acre project will feature 10 city blocks developed around a pedestrian-friendly street grid, just steps from the Dunwoody MARTA Station. It's a big, walkable area, which fits the festival's family-friendly vibe.
