Texas Is The Reason, the New York post-hardcore and early emo band, plays The Masquerade to mark the 30th anniversary of its 1996 debut album.
Texas Is The Reason play The Masquerade on Thursday, October 22, as part of their 2026 international tour. It's a headlining date at the venue's Hell room, located at 50 Lower Alabama Street #110 in downtown Atlanta.
If you're coming to this one, it helps to know where the band fits. Texas Is The Reason came up in the mid-1990s as one of the most influential bands in the post-hardcore and early emo scenes, based in New York City. Their 1996 debut album, Do You Know Who You Are?, became one of the most enduring releases on Revelation Records, and the band broke up in 1997. This tour is built around that record: they're touring internationally in 2026 to mark its 30th anniversary.
They didn't just reappear for this run. The reunion started with select live dates in 2025, including sets at Riot Fest and the Best Friends Forever Festival, before they took it on the road. This Atlanta stop is part of that wider tour, and the set is centered on the songs from Do You Know Who You Are?.
