Stephen Day brings his The Self Titled Tour to Terminal West on Friday, October 23, with pop singer-songwriter Emily Brimlow opening the show. Day is a Georgia native now based in Nashville, and this is a homecoming stop on the tour.
His sound is built around a modern crooning style that pulls from a wide range of influences: Stevie Wonder, Glen Campbell, Frank Sinatra, and John Mayer. It blends traditional soul vocals with pop and country elements, and he's been at it for a while. He debuted as a sophomore with the 2015 EP Undergrad Romance, followed by the pandemic-era Original Songs and Sound. Then came the full-length albums Guess I'm Grown Now in 2019 and The Shapes I'm In in 2021. His most recent release is 2024's Gold Mine, a 13-song concept album that leans into 60s country and 70s soul with modern production.
Day has more than 140 million all-time streams and has headlined sold-out shows in New York, Chicago, and Washington DC. He's also spent time on the road supporting Teddy Swims, Stephen Sanchez, and Lawrence on their North American tours. Emily Brimlow, a pop singer-songwriter from Buford, Georgia, opens the night.
