A one-night-only live experience celebrating the 50th anniversary of the film Rocky, with the original film projected while Bill Conti's score is performed live by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Rocky in Concert comes to Atlanta Symphony Hall on Monday, November 16, a one-night-only event marking the 50th anniversary of Amazon MGM Studios' Rocky. The format is straightforward: the original film plays on the big screen while Bill Conti's score is performed live by a symphony orchestra. That includes 'Gonna Fly Now', the track that's become the shorthand for the whole movie.
It's a chance to see the film with the music played in the room rather than coming out of the speakers. The Rocky franchise has earned more than $1.3 billion worldwide at the box office, three Academy Awards, and 10 nominations, and this is a live take on the movie that started it all. The evening is presented by Delta in association with TCG Entertainment. One thing to keep in mind: the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is not the performing orchestra for this event.
