Free outdoor jazz concert by the Pete Ayres Quartet in the Callanwolde Amphitheater, part of the Jazz on the Lawn series.
The Pete Ayres Quartet plays at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center on Friday, October 23, as part of the Jazz on the Lawn series. The concert runs from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with check-in starting at 6:30 PM, and admission is free.
Jazz on the Lawn is in its 27th year, and the 2026 season, presented by Audi Atlanta, consists of four concerts. Season tickets cover all of them at a $25 saving. The series takes place in the Callanwolde Amphitheater, an outdoor setting surrounded by the grounds of the estate. It's the kind of night where you're encouraged to bring your own blankets, chairs, food, and drink. For those who want a bit more, there are VIP tables on the first few tiers, and groups of 30 or more get private access to the Hydrangea Garden.
The venue itself is the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, a community arts conservatory on a historic 12-acre campus in the heart of Atlanta. Its mission is to provide premier, accessible arts education to the community, especially to the underserved, while promoting the arts across the estate. The amphitheater sits within those grounds, so you're listening to the music outdoors rather than inside a hall.
