Live concert by singer-songwriter Medium Build, headlining 'The King of Having Fun on Tour', with support from Eden Joel at The Eastern.
Medium Build plays The Eastern on Saturday, November 14, as part of The King of Having Fun on Tour. He's bringing Eden Joel along to open the bill.
Medium Build is the recording name of Nicholas Carpenter, a singer-songwriter from Anchorage, Alaska. His music sits at the intersection of indie pop, folk, and country, and he's known for honest, storytelling lyrics. You might recognize a few of his songs: "Never Learned To Dance" and "Friend for Life," the latter recorded with X Ambassadors. He's put out albums like Country and takeaways, and has worked with Julien Baker and Holly Humberstone along the way. He's built a reputation for connective charisma, the kind of performer who can hold a room.
The sound puts him right at the crossroads of rock, pop, and indie, with a following that stretches from the Alaska indie scene to wider alternative audiences. It's the kind of set that works whether you're coming for the songwriting or the live energy.
