Acoustic hometown show by Manchester Orchestra, marking their sixteenth annual holiday festival, The Stuffing, with a full run-through of their debut album.
Manchester Orchestra are back at The Tabernacle on Saturday, November 21, for The Stuffing XVI. It's the sixteenth edition of their annual holiday festival, which they stage as a celebratory hometown show for the Atlanta-native indie rock outfit. This year's version is presented by iTHINK Financial.
The set is a one-night-only acoustic performance, and the centerpiece is a specific one: Andy Hull and Robert McDowell will play the band's debut album, I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child, in its entirety. That's the record that started it all, and they're running it from start to finish. On top of that, they've left room for surprise guests to join in, so the full lineup for the night isn't entirely set in stone.
If you're not familiar with the tradition, The Stuffing is the band's way of coming home for the holidays. They've been doing it for sixteen years now, and it's always a hometown affair for the Atlanta group. This particular edition strips things back to an acoustic format, which puts the focus on the songs and the voices rather than the full-band sound. Hearing the debut album played through that lens is a different way to experience it than the original recording.

It's a single night, so there's no second date to catch if you miss it. The show starts at 6:30 PM at The Tabernacle, 152 Luckie St, in downtown Atlanta.
