Haunted house tour of the 1904 Rhodes Hall, with evening tours and a late-night Candlelight Hidden Spaces Tour of its paranormal hotspots.
Legends and Lore returns to Rhodes Hall for three nights this October: Tuesday the 27th, Wednesday the 28th, and Thursday the 29th. It's a storytelling tour through one of Atlanta's most haunted buildings, and if you've spent any time in the city, you probably know the place. Rhodes Hall is the 1904 'Castle on Peachtree' at 1516 Peachtree St NW, and it's been the backdrop for this Halloween event for more than a decade, going back through the 1980s and '90s.
On the tour, you walk through the house and hear the spine-chilling experiences reported by guests and staff, told alongside the history of the building and the Rhodes family. It's as much about the people who lived here as it is about the ghosts. The house has a fair bit of name recognition beyond the local haunt scene, tooβit's been featured on Ghost Hunters, WSB-TV's Georgia's Haunted Hidden Treasures, and FOX 5's Good Day Atlanta.
There are two versions of the tour. The standard one runs at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and the late-night Candlelight Hidden Spaces Tour starts at 8:30 PM. That one is the deeper dive: it opens up areas usually closed to the public, including the fourth-floor Children's Playroom and the basement, which is where the most paranormal activity has been reported. Before that tour kicks off, drinks are served on the porch.
