All-ages metalcore and post-hardcore show by California band Kingdom of Giants, with support from Deadlands, at The Masquerade.
Kingdom of Giants play The Masquerade on Wednesday, December 9, with Deadlands opening. The show is in the Purgatory room, the smaller stage inside the venue at 50 Lower Alabama Street, so it's a bit more contained than the main floor.
Kingdom of Giants is a six-piece from California, and they're working their way into the modern metal and post-hardcore scenes. Their sound is rooted in classic metalcore—they cite Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying as influences—and they build around that mix of heavy riffs and melodic harmonies. They're also preparing to release a six-song EP called Bleeding Star, so there's new material on the horizon.

Deadlands opens the night, and the whole thing is an all-ages show, which means you don't need to worry about age restrictions if you're bringing younger friends. Doors open at 6 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get in and settle in before the first set starts.
