Georgia Tech Volleyball vs. Clemson

Georgia Tech volleyball takes on the Clemson Tigers at O'Keefe Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 18, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It's a mid-week home match in the heart of the city, so it's an easy one to swing if you're already around Midtown.

If you've never been, O'Keefe Gymnasium is known on campus as The Flats. It's been the home of the Yellow Jackets since 1995, but the building itself goes back much further—it was O'Keefe High School's gym in the 1950s before Georgia Tech took it over in the 1960s. It's earned a reputation as one of the premier volleyball facilities in the Southeast, prized for its rowdy atmosphere, sight lines, and acoustics. Over the years it's seen plenty of updates: a new floor after the 2003 season, a new locker room before 2006, a nearly $1 million overhaul that same year, and a Taraflex floor installed before the 2017 season—the same surface used in eleven consecutive Olympic Games. The venue is slated for renovation under the university's $500 million 'Full Steam Ahead' athletics initiative.

On the sidelines is head coach Michelle Collier, now in her 13th season with a 234-131 record. She holds the program's records for both ACC wins (135) and NCAA Tournament wins (8), and she's closing in on the 271 wins mark set by AVCA Hall of Famer Shelton Collier.
