A chamber music concert by the Emory Chamber Music Society de Atlanta, featuring cellist Sara Sant'Ambrogio and pianist William Ransom.
Sara Sant'Ambrogio plays Ackerman Hall at the Michael C. Carlos Museum on Friday, December 4, as part of the Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta's noontime concert series. She'll be on cello, joined at the piano by William Ransom.
It's a chamber music pairing, just the two of them on stage. Sant'Ambrogio takes the lead on the cello, with Ransom providing the piano accompaniment. The ECMSA organizes these noontime concerts throughout the year, and this one brings them together in the museum's hall.
Ackerman Hall is an intimate space, the kind that works well for chamber music, poetry readings, and screenings. The Carlos Museum also runs Carlos Reads, a book club where Emory faculty lead small-group discussions on literature tied to the museum's collections and exhibitions. This concert is one of the performances the museum programs for the hall.
