A three-day plant show featuring rare flora, drag performance, vendor booths, and workshops in the former Forever 21 building.
Dirt and Glitter takes over Atlantic Station from Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18. It's a three-day plant show produced by The Greenhouse Social, and it's taking up both floors of the former Forever 21 building at 231 18th Street Northwest. The whole thing is billed as more than just a plant show—a gathering where the community shows up, shares what they love, and goes home with something living.
Founder Steven Crafton set out to bring the plant community and the queer community together, and that's where the name comes from. It's a shimmering twist on the traditional plant show: rare flora alongside drag performers and an emphasis on inclusion. The floor plan mixes vendor booths with a coffee and wine bar, vintage and plantiques, workshops, and a year-round plant-forward market. The stock runs from beginner-friendly houseplants to rare collector finds, with Georgia-based vendors sitting alongside specialty growers and sellers from outside the state. The inaugural edition opens with an exclusive VIP experience before two full days of shopping and connecting.
The Greenhouse Social is producing the show, with T & T Plants and Things and Apples Gone Wild as headline sponsors. Sprout & Sprig Plants, Leaf & Reef, and Great American Green are also on as featured sponsors, and drag performer Gigi Diamond headlines opening night.
