Live show headlined by Athens, Georgia band Futon, with Bad Guru and Wardrobe Malfunction, at Boggs Social & Supply.
Bad Guru, Wardrobe Malfunction, and Futon are playing Boggs Social & Supply on Friday, October 30. It's a three-band bill, with Futon taking the headlining slot. The show runs from 8 PM to 11:30 PM at 1310 White St SW in Atlanta.
Futon comes from Athens, Georgia, and they're the one to keep an eye on here. They describe their sound as a mix of grunge, post-hardcore, and progressive rock, and they're known for energetic live shows and loud music. If you're trying to place them, they sit across nu-grunge, shoegaze, alternative rock, and art rock—a fair bit of ground to cover in one set. It's the kind of description that suggests they're not sticking to one lane, so you'll probably hear a few different moods in a single night.
Bad Guru and Wardrobe Malfunction round out the lineup, meaning the evening starts well before the headliner takes the stage. With three bands on the bill, the music should keep going for most of the night, and since the whole thing runs until 11:30 PM, there's plenty of room for each act to get their full set in. If you're coming for Futon, you'll have a couple of openers to work through first.
