Informal networking meeting for businesses in the Aberdeen Business Improvement District to hear the Aberdeen Inspired business plan and district updates.
Aberdeen Inspired are hosting their next BID Networking Meeting at the Copthorne Hotel on Tuesday 27 October, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. It's a morning session for BID levy payers from across the Business Improvement District area to catch up with fellow businesses, get the latest updates from the BID, and find out about upcoming events and opportunities. The whole thing is presented by Aberdeen Inspired.
Chair Jeanette Forbes and Aberdeen Inspired CEO Adrian Watson lead the agenda, and there's a fair bit on the table. The main piece is the Aberdeen Inspired Business Plan 2026-2031, which sets out the direction for the next five years. Alongside that, they'll be giving updates on the Flint Market, the World Rally Championships, and the construction work on Union Street and Castlegate. There's also an update from Aberdeen City Council and a look at the Our Union Street initiative and its Our Aberdeen App.
It's a broad line-up of people taking the floor. Along with Forbes and Watson, you'll hear from Allan Henderson, CEO of McGinty's Group; Sandy Beattie, Masterplan Manager at ACC; Dean McGlynn and Jen Lawie from Aberdeen City Council; and David McKeith, Operations Director at Our Union Street. Between them, they cover the city's business plan, the major events and construction affecting the centre, and the council's latest.
