Texas, the Glasgow band fronted by Sharleen Spiteri, are heading back to Aberdeen next year. They play P&J Live on 15 October 2027 as part of a tour marking 30 years since White On Blonde came out in February 1997. The Aberdeen date is listed as a homecoming show and is the first of the UK and Ireland dates, with Newcastle the following night. Del Amitri are joining as special guests on those dates.

The show is built around the album itself. Texas will play all of White On Blonde alongside the biggest hits from a career that stretches back almost four decades. It is the band's most successful record internationally, with more than four million copies sold worldwide. It went straight to No. 1 in the UK and stayed there for six weeks, and it gave the band five UK Top 10 singles, including 'Say What You Want', 'Halo' and 'Insane'. Ahead of the tour, a reissue with rarities is due on 5 February 2027. Doors open at 18:00. Standing tickets are for ages 14 and over, and anyone under 14 needs to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
Tickets are priced at £42.50 to £85.00 for seated areas and £70.00 for standing, plus fees. The sales are staggered over a few days. Artist presale and the P&J Live venue presale both open on Wednesday 28 October at 10:00. The venue presale is only open to people on the official P&J Live mailing list, who must be registered at least an hour before it starts. A Gigs in Scotland presale follows on Thursday 29 October at 10:00 for people who signed up on its website, and the general sale opens on Friday 30 October at 10:00. P&J Live does not sell tickets directly, so you need to buy through AXS or Ticketmaster.
The gig takes place at P&J Live in Stoneywood, the venue that opened in 2019 on the site of the former Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The arena can hold around 15,000 people depending on the layout. The box office is to the left of the main entrance and opens an hour before doors. The venue is cashless, so it is worth having a card or phone payment ready when you get there.
