Fat Batch is a bakery at 57 Elmbank Terrace, Aberdeen AB24 3NL. It began during the peak of lockdown, when Eve was working a 9-to-5 office job and posting her lockdown meals on an Instagram food blog. The brookie, a brownie-cookie hybrid, came out of that blog. Three years after starting, the business opened its first shop. It now sells over 3,000 bakes a month and has nearly 20,000 followers on Instagram.

The menu is built around brookies and blondies. The Loaded Cookie Box costs £16.00 for four or £30.00 for sixteen. A Brookie Slab is £30.00 and comes cut into either 9 or 16 pieces. The Blondie Slab is £30.00, and the Loaded Brookie Slab is £32.00. If you can't decide, the Box of Random 4 Bakes costs £16.25. There are also specialty items such as the Kinder Buenos Blonde and the Wispa Gold Brookie. Chrissie is the designated blondie baker, and her thick, fudgy blondies sell out quickly. Eve's favourite bake is the Caramel Filled Mars Crispie, while Michael prefers the white chocolate and raspberry blondie.
The team is small and easy to spot. Michael started as a volunteer staff member and chief taste tester, then gave up his full-time job to work shifts of 16 hours or more. He is also the shop's barista. Sam created the first Fat Batch logo and designs the stickers and branding. Bodie, a French Bulldog, is the team's social media face. He models for Instagram and gets a Puppuccino at the shop, and his favourite is the XL version with all the toppings.
